Short version: MultiDownloader is a personal-use tool, not a media library. Download only content you own or have permission to save. We are not affiliated with YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, Google, or Meta.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using MultiDownloader (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation.
2. What the Service is
MultiDownloader is a software interface that helps a user request media from supported third-party platforms and save a copy for personal use. YouTube support is live; Instagram, Facebook, and Reddit pages are currently “coming soon” and do not yet provide downloads.
The Service is not a content library. We do not index, curate, publish, or make available a catalogue of videos, audio, or other media. Downloads are generated at the request of the individual user.
3. No affiliation with platforms
MultiDownloader is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or associated with YouTube, Google, Instagram, Meta, Facebook, Reddit, or any other platform. All platform names and marks belong to their respective owners and are used only to describe compatibility or planned compatibility.
4. Permitted use
You may use the Service only for lawful, personal purposes. You must have the legal right to access and save the content you request. For example, you may use it for:
- Content you created yourself.
- Content you own or have a licence to download.
- Content published under a licence that permits your intended use.
- Content you have explicit permission from the rights holder to save.
You are responsible for compliance with the terms of service, copyright rules, and laws that apply to you and to the platform you use.
5. Prohibited use
You must not use the Service to:
- Download content you do not own or have permission to save.
- Infringe copyright, trade marks, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
- Access private, members-only, paid, age-restricted, or login-protected content, or bypass any access control or digital rights management (DRM).
- Download, store, or distribute unlawful, abusive, exploitative, or harmful material.
- Build a public download service, resell downloads, or provide automated or bulk access.
- Probe, overload, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure.
- Use bots, scrapers, or scripts that place an unreasonable load on the Service.
- Circumvent rate limits, blocks, or security measures.
- Use the Service in a way that violates the rules of a third-party platform.
We may suspend or block access, or refuse a request, if we believe it presents a legal, security, or abuse risk.
6. Copyright and your responsibilities
You retain responsibility for the content you choose to download and for how you use it. Downloaded files may be protected by copyright even when they are publicly viewable. Personal use is not a blanket permission to redistribute, re-upload, monetise, or publicly perform someone else’s work.
If you believe content accessed through the Service infringes your rights, please follow our Copyright / DMCA process.
7. Downloads, availability, and temporary storage
Downloads depend on third-party platforms, network conditions, and the availability of the requested media. We do not guarantee that a particular video, format, resolution, or audio track will be available, or that a download will complete.
Temporary files may be created while a download is being prepared. They are not a permanent library and are automatically cleaned up. On the hosted version, temporary files may be stored on infrastructure operated by Cloudflare or another hosting provider. Do not rely on the Service as a backup or storage provider.
We may impose queue limits, file-size limits, rate limits, or platform-specific restrictions to keep the Service stable and compliant.
8. Third-party platforms and links
The Service interacts with third-party platforms and links to third-party sites. Those platforms have their own terms, privacy policies, and technical restrictions. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices. A platform may change its systems or block access at any time.
You are responsible for reviewing and following the terms of any platform you use with the Service.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
We do not warrant that downloads will be complete, accurate, virus-free, or compatible with your device. You are responsible for scanning files and for maintaining your own backups.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MultiDownloader and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; loss of data, profits, goodwill, or opportunity; or claims arising from your use of the Service or downloaded content.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD 50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
11. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless MultiDownloader and its operator from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your downloaded content, or your breach of these terms or third-party rights.
12. Changes, suspension, and termination
We may update, restrict, suspend, or discontinue the Service or any feature at any time. We may change these terms by posting an updated version on this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service.
We may suspend or terminate access without notice if we reasonably believe you have violated these terms, infringed rights, or created a legal or security risk.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator’s principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute must be brought in a competent court for that location, unless applicable consumer law requires otherwise. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be waived by law.
14. Contact
Questions about these terms? Email support@multidownloader.app or use our contact page. For copyright matters, see the Copyright / DMCA page.
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of that provision.
