In plain language: YouTube downloads do not require an account. We keep only what is needed to run the waitlist, answer messages, keep the service secure, and understand basic usage. We do not sell your data.
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy describes how MultiDownloader (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles personal information when you visit our website, join a platform waitlist, contact us, or use the downloader. It applies to the MultiDownloader website, its pages, and related services.
Our hosting and infrastructure are provided by Cloudflare. Depending on where you access the Service from, your information may be processed in countries other than your own.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Waitlist email: if you join a launch list, we collect your email address and the platform you selected (Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, or general).
- Contact messages: if you contact us, we collect your name (if provided), email address, subject, and message.
- Content of your message: anything you choose to include in a support or legal request.
Information processed automatically
- Technical logs: Cloudflare and our hosting providers may process IP address, user agent, request time, requested URL, and basic security data to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and keep it available.
- Download request data: the link you submit is processed to read available formats and prepare your download. Job details such as title, format, progress, and status exist temporarily so the downloader can show progress and serve your file.
- Waitlist and contact records: stored in a Cloudflare D1 database when the hosted database is enabled.
We do not require an account to use the YouTube downloader, and we do not ask for a password or payment card.
3. How we use information
- To provide and operate the downloader and its queue.
- To send one launch email if you join a waitlist.
- To answer support, privacy, and copyright requests.
- To monitor reliability and protect the Service from abuse, fraud, and attacks.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
- To understand aggregate usage without building advertising profiles.
Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on your consent (for the waitlist), our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, performance of a requested service, and legal obligations.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, or third-party analytics at this time. Essential cookies or similar storage may be used by Cloudflare for security, load balancing, bot protection, and delivering the site. These are necessary for the Service to function.
Your browser may store limited local preferences, such as recent links, in local storage. That information stays in your browser and is not sent to us as a profile.
If we introduce analytics or advertising in future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for consent before using non-essential cookies.
5. When we share information
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We may share limited information with:
- Cloudflare and other hosting providers that process data to deliver the site, run D1, and protect the Service.
- Platform providers such as YouTube when your request requires contacting them. Their own privacy policies apply.
- Professional advisers and authorities where required by law, a valid legal request, or to protect rights and safety.
- A successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, or transfer of the Service, subject to appropriate safeguards.
We may publish anonymous, aggregated statistics that do not identify you.
6. How long we keep information
- Temporary download files: removed automatically after a short period. The hosted downloader does not guarantee permanent file storage.
- Waitlist emails: kept until the relevant platform launches, you ask to be removed, or the list is no longer needed.
- Contact and copyright messages: kept for up to 24 months for support, legal, and record-keeping purposes, then reviewed for deletion.
- Technical logs: kept by Cloudflare or our hosting provider for the period configured for security and operations, typically short-term.
7. Security
We use reputable hosting, HTTPS, access controls, and data minimisation. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive personal information through the contact form.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal information, or to withdraw consent. To make a request, email privacy@multidownloader.app. We may need to verify your request.
Waitlist emails are used only for the launch notice you requested. You can ask to be removed at any time. We do not use the waitlist for unrelated marketing.
9. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13, and you must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use it. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. International transfers
Our providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be processed in those locations.
11. Third-party links and platforms
The Service interacts with third-party platforms and may link to third-party sites. We do not control their privacy practices. Review their policies before using their services.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. Material changes will be posted on this page, and continued use means you accept the updated policy.
13. Contact
